Awaken Within Breathwork is an immersive group experience designed to guide you through a powerful journey of self-healing and transformation. You can attend one of our upcoming events by following the steps below, or reach out if you're interested in hosting a breathwork event at your space or my space for a private group experience.

How To Attend

Step 1: Choose Your Date
Browse the event schedule, explore the details, and select the date that resonates with you. Follow the link to start your registration process.

Step 2: Book Your Spot
Complete the booking steps and secure your spot by submitting your payment. If you’d like to bring someone along, you can add additional participants during the booking process.

Step 3: Complete Your Pre-Event Form
Check your email for a confirmation message and a link to your pre-event intake form. Be sure to fill this out ahead of time as it helps me tailor your experience and ensure everything is ready for your journey.

Step 4: Arrive Ready to Transform
Plan to arrive a little early to settle in and get comfortable. This is your time to pause, breathe, and prepare for a powerful day of self-discovery and renewal.

What to expect on Breathwork day

Awaken Within Breathwork events are designed offer as a small group experience, creating an intimate and supportive environment. You’ll want to arrive a little early to settle in, as we’ll begin promptly with an introduction to the process and a guided practice of the breathing techniques you’ll be using throughout the session.

Everything you need for a comfortable and immersive breathwork experience is provided, and accommodations can be made for those with physical limitations. Throughout the day, we’ll engage in a variety of techniques, including topic discussion, guided meditation, breathwork, and creative processing.

Expect a deeply personal yet shared journey, where the small group dynamic fosters connection and mutual support. Each step of the experience is designed to help you feel safe, seen, and empowered as you explore and release emotions, gain clarity, and reconnect with your inner self. This is your time to breathe, reflect, and grow in a nurturing space that honors your unique journey.

Integration & Reflection

After the breathwork session, we will transition into a time of reflection and integration, which is essential for grounding the insights and experiences gained during the session. This part of the day is dedicated to deepening your self-awareness and learning about the shadow—the parts of ourselves that remain hidden in the unconscious. Understanding these aspects helps you unlock new perspectives, break through limiting beliefs, and reconnect with your authentic self.

You’ll be present during the group sharing portion, where participants are invited to reflect on and discuss their experiences. While you will be in the group setting, sharing your personal journey is entirely optional. If you feel called to share, the space is open for you, but if not, you can simply observe and listen, absorbing the collective wisdom and insights of the group.

The benefits of breathwork continue long after the session itself. As you gain access to the voice within, you’ll carry forward greater clarity, self-compassion, and a deeper connection to your intuition. This integration helps you cultivate lasting transformation and self-awareness, empowering you to live more authentically in your everyday life.

  • Awaken Within Breathwork draws from both Holotropic Breathwork and Neo-Shamanic Breathwork lineages, so the breathing method and overall process may feel similar. I’ve had the privilege of training with James Frazier, the founder of Neo-Shamanic Breathwork, and I’ve extensively studied the work of Dr. Stanislav Grof and Christina Grof, the creators of the Holotropic system. However, what makes Awaken Within unique is its focus on personal development, somatic healing, and a trauma-informed approach. I’ve blended my background in holistic healing with these breathwork systems to create a truly personalized experience that supports individual growth and transformation.

  • Awaken Within Breathwork uses ecstatic, prolonged deep breathing, sensory inhibition, and evocative music to induce a natural non-ordinary state of consciousness, all within a supportive environment. This combination can lead to cognitive and physical changes in the brain akin to those observed during intense exercise, deep meditation, and the use of some psychedelic substances. This is thought to come from CO2 levels in the brain dropping while pH levels rise. In this state, the frontal lobes of the brain, responsible for cognitive control and inhibition, exhibit temporary reductions in activity. In theory, this state can promote psychological disinhibition, making the brain more receptive to memory and emotion, which could facilitate the release and processing of suppressed materials or just a new perspective on known material, allowing for a deeply holistic healing experience of the body and mind.

  • Yes, Awaken Within Breathwork is safe for most people. It is also a safe and fully legal alternative to psychedelics while providing many of the same benefits. However, there are some contraindications, including, but not limited to; seizure disorders, pregnancy, active addiction, acute mental crisis, suicidal thoughts, hyperventilation disorder, severe asthma, and detached retina. A free consultation with the facilitator is required before attending, and more details about your specific concerns can be discussed at that time.

  • To ensure your comfort during the breathwork session, I recommend wearing comfortable and loose-fitting attire, similar to yoga clothing. It's a good idea to dress in layers, as breathwork can lead to fluctuations in body temperature. Please avoid wearing any dangling jewelry, strong-smelling body perfumes, or oils. Additionally, it's advisable to keep your hair in a comfortable style, considering that you'll be lying down and potentially moving during the session.

    We provide essential items such as an air mattress, blanket, pillow, and an eye mask for your convenience. However, if you prefer using your own, feel free to bring them along. Additionally, you may choose to bring a small, meaningful item that holds significance for you. This item should be portable and easy to hold or place near you during the breathwork.

  • Yes, you must prepare your schedule to be present for the entire event. I suggest making arrangements for childcare and pet care to ensure you are not rushed or distracted. This isn’t just to ensure that you get the most out of your experience, but also a commitment you make to the group. When you participate in an Awaken Withing Breathwork Event, you co-create a space of healing and connection with your fellow participants. This is an exercise in being present and being in community.
